Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are a contract between you and Nevora Ecovolt Private Limited ("Nevora", "we"). They apply to the Nevora CORE app, to charging at any charger Nevora operates in your housing society, and to the committee portal if your society has given you access to it. By creating an account you accept them. The Privacy Policy is part of these terms.
Your housing society (its resident welfare association, "RWA") is not a party to these terms. It decides who is a resident, and it may have its own rules for the parking area and the chargers; those rules sit alongside these terms and are the RWA's to enforce.
2. Who may use the service
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must live in a society where Nevora operates, and your society's committee must approve your account. Until then you can sign up but not charge. The committee may refuse you, and will give a reason; a dispute about whether you live there is between you and your society.
- You must own, or be entitled to drive, the vehicle you register.
- One account per mobile number. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code delivered over WhatsApp. Keep your phone secure: anything done from your signed-in app is treated as done by you until you tell us otherwise.
- Tell us promptly if your number changes, you lose your phone, or you suspect someone else has used your account. You can sign out of every device by asking us.
- Keep your flat and vehicle details accurate. Battery capacity, on-board charger rating and connector type are safety inputs to the load manager: a wrong figure can make your car charge slower, block a charger that does not fit it, or — with a hand-typed figure — cost you rank in fairness ordering. Details taken from our catalogue are preferred for exactly this reason.
- You may close your account at any time (§12).
4. How charging works — and what we may do to your session
Shared power. Every charger in a society is wired to a distribution board with a fixed safe limit per electrical phase. Our load manager divides that limit among the cars charging at any moment so that the limit is never exceeded. That is the service. It means:
- Your charging speed may be reduced while others charge, and may be paused briefly when a board is full. Every active session is guaranteed a minimum current first; the rest is shared by a fairness ranking built only from measured facts (energy delivered, time connected, your vehicle's pack size, the charger's rating, and your flat's use over the last seven days). The charge level or deadline you type affects the finishing-time estimate only, never your rank.
- Estimates are estimates. We cannot read your car's battery. The finishing time and charge level shown are calculated from the meter and the figures you and the catalogue gave, and can be wrong. Do not rely on them for a journey.
- We may stop a session remotely: when you ask; when your target is reached; when a charger ignores its limit or draws current nobody authorised; or when a safety condition requires it. We record why.
- Your society's committee may stop your charge, but only when our server confirms one of three things: the charger reports a fault, your booking has ended, or your car finished charging and has stayed plugged in for 15 minutes or more. The committee gives a reason, and you see it in the app.
- A charger reported unsafe by your committee is taken out of service at once: it takes no new charge or booking, its upcoming bookings are cancelled and you are told in the app; a charge already running on it is left to finish unless it is stopped for one of the reasons above.
- A start may be refused — because the board is full at the minimum current, the charger is offline, not yet trusted or out of service, you have no valid booking on a shared charger, your wallet holds less than ₹25, or you owe money from an earlier charge. The app tells you the reason.
Shared chargers need a booking. Where your society's chargers are shared (most are), you must book a slot before plugging in; a start outside a live booking is refused. Arrive within the grace window your society sets; a slot you do not use is a no-show, and repeated no-shows may limit your future bookings. Your booking ends when its time ends or when you unplug, whichever is first.
Idle time. When your car stops taking charge but stays plugged in on a shared charger, that time is recorded. It is not charged for today. If your society and Nevora decide to price idle occupancy in future, you will be told in advance, in the app, before it applies to you.
5. Safety — please read
- Use the charger as its instructions and the sticker say. Do not force a connector, use damaged cables, or leave a charging vehicle unattended for longer than your society permits.
- Never tamper with a charger, its cabling, the distribution board, the gateway device, or the sticker code. Tampering is dangerous, is a breach of these terms, and may be reported to your society and the authorities.
- If you see smoke, sparking, water ingress or damage: stop the session from the app or the charger's stop control, move away, and report it to your society and to us. The safety record of the installation is permanent.
- Your vehicle's own charging system controls how it charges. We are not responsible for a fault in the vehicle, its cable, or its battery.
6. What you agree not to do
- Charge a vehicle that is not registered on your account, or let another person use your account or booking.
- Bypass a booking, a refused start, a limit, or a sticker code.
- Interfere with another resident's session or vehicle.
- Attempt to access another person's data, probe or attack our systems, or reverse-engineer the app or the charger's communications.
- Use the service for any vehicle or purpose your society has not permitted.
We may suspend or close an account for a breach, and your society may withdraw your access. Where a breach caused damage, you are responsible for it.
7. Prices, payment and receipts
Pricing is per society. The price per kWh at your society has up to three parts, each shown separately on your receipt: the electricity cost, your society's share, and Nevora's service fee, with GST as applicable to each. Prices are set for your society and published in the app before they apply; a change takes effect only after notice in the app.
You pay from a prepaid wallet in the app, from the first charge. You top up through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking as they offer) — at least ₹50 at a time and at most ₹5,000, up to a balance of ₹10,000 — each session is debited from the wallet at its end, and every debit and top-up appears in your statement. A charge starts only with at least ₹25 in the wallet and nothing owed. If a charge costs more than your balance, the difference is owed and is taken first from your next top-up; until it is paid, a new charge cannot start. We never store card or UPI credentials. The wallet can be spent only on charging with Nevora; it cannot pay anyone else, be moved to another person, or be taken out as cash. Its unused balance is returned — to the payment method it came from, or else to a bank account in your own name — when you close your account, when we stop serving your society, or when we suspend or close your account (less anything you owe). Money left unspent for 11 months is not taken away: we remind you, so you can use it or close your account and have it back. The Refund Policy is part of these terms and says exactly when, where and how fast; there is no fee for a refund under it.
Disputes about a bill. Every session records the charger's opening and closing meter readings; energy is the difference. Raise a dispute within 30 days of the session and we will show you those readings and the current your session was given, and correct any error.
8. Your society's committee
Your society's committee, through the committee portal, approves residents and may ask Nevora to suspend or remove one; sees the society's chargers and each resident's charging as the Privacy Policy §6.1 sets out; may report a charger unsafe and stop a charge on the grounds in §4; and may ask Nevora for changes to prices, chargers or limits. Nevora acts on the committee's decisions about who is a resident. Complaints about the committee's decisions go to the committee; complaints about Nevora's service come to us (§14).
9. Availability
We aim for the service to be available at all times, and we monitor it, but we do not guarantee it. Chargers can be offline, a board can be full, the mobile network can be down, and we carry out maintenance. When the service is unavailable, a charge may be delayed or unavailable; we are not liable for that beyond §11, and a booking affected by an outage is not a no-show.
10. The app and our content
The app, the portals, their software and design are Nevora's, or licensed to us. You may install and use the app on your own devices to use the service, and nothing else. Suggestions you send us may be used without obligation. Vehicle images and names belong to their manufacturers and are used to identify your vehicle.
11. Liability
- We are responsible for providing the service with reasonable care and skill, for the security measures described in the Privacy Policy, and for loss caused by our negligence or breach of these terms.
- We are not responsible for: loss caused by your vehicle, its battery or cable; loss from inaccurate details you gave us; loss from a charger or wiring installed or maintained by someone other than Nevora; loss from events outside our reasonable control (power cuts, network failures, natural events); indirect loss, such as a missed journey or lost earnings, that we could not reasonably foresee.
- Cap. Except for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything the law does not allow us to limit, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the greater of ₹10,000 and the amount you paid us for the service in those 12 months.
- Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded.
12. Ending the relationship
- By you: close your account from the app or by writing to us. Any wallet balance is refunded as §7 says; your data is handled as the Privacy Policy says (a 90-day grace period, then deletion, with records we must keep by law retained).
- By your society: if the committee withdraws your membership, you can no longer charge there. Your account survives for use at another Nevora society.
- By us: for a breach of §6, for non-payment once billing is live, for a safety risk, or if we stop serving your society (with at least 30 days' notice where we can give it). We will tell you why.
13. Changes to these terms
We will change these terms when the service changes — payments, idle-time pricing, new features. We will give notice in the app at least 15 days before a material change takes effect, with the date. If you do not accept a change, close your account before that date; using the service after it means the new terms apply.
